- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Eastman Kodak, 343 State State, Rochester, NY 14650 for the requirement specified herein under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.1061(b), as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available to renew maintenance on 17 - 7500D Scanners, 17 - 7500D Document Print Controllers, 17 - 7500D Document Printers, 17 - 7500D Patch Readers, 9 - 5500D Scanners, 9 - 5500D Document Print Controllers, 9 - 5500D Document Printers, 9 - 5500D Patch Readers, and 26 Kofax Cards for the period 11/3/08 – 11/2/09. Maintenance required is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 4 hour response time. This equipment is located in Baltimore, MD. Philadelphia, PA, Richmond, CA, Kansas City, MO, Jamaica, NY, Chicago, IL, and Birmingham, AL. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA’s assessment of capable sources. Responses to this notice should be submitted by November 3, 2008, 10:00 a.m. Eastern time and should refer to EK0080. This size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. If after November 3, 2008 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement. SSA shall initiate negotiations sole with Eastman Kodak.
