- Description
- Sole source contract for L-3 IEC to provide a replacement Flight Test Support System (FTSS IV) used in support of the Trident II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile Program. This effort will replace the existing system with an updated architecture, which implements the Information Assurance requirements of red-black separation, mitigates obsolescence of current telemetry and communications systems and will include the testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and modification of the systems and its support equipment for the Trident II (D5). This effort will be negotiated with L-3 IEC, the only known source with the experience, expertise, personnel, and the knowledge of the Flight Test Program and systems required to support test operations of the D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile and Strategic Weapons Systems.
