- The United States Army Contracting Command, CECOM Contracting Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703, intends to award, on a non-competitive basis, a five (5) year, Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract to procure the following spare parts for the AN/VRC-100 HF Communication System: 48 Electronic Components and 79 Plug Assembly sets, NSNs 5998-01-442-2938 in accordance with Rockwell Collins P/N 752-9595-001 and 5935-01-435-9247 in accordance with Rockwell Collins P/N 752-9648-001. This effort is a Sole Source to Rockwell Collins, Inc. (RCI), 400 Collins Road NE; Cedar Rapids, IA 52406, CAGE 13499, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The estimated minimum purchase will be $9,000.00 and the estimated contract ceiling is $425,000.00. Delivery schedule for NSN 5998-01-442-2938 is 9 each 180 days after contract, 9 each month thereafter until completion. Delivery schedule for NSN 5935-01-435-9247 is 29 each 180 days after contract, 29 each month thereafter until completion. Delivery will be FOB destination to New Cumberland, PA. The AN/VRC-100 is a high frequency radio intended for use in Tactical Operations Center, Air Traffic Control, and vehicular applications such as the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). RCI is the only source that possesses the drawings/specifications necessary to build the subject item. RCI is the only source that possesses the manufacturing data and is the actual manufacturer of this item. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The proposed action is forecast to be awarded by January 20, 2009. The solicitation will be posted to the website maintained at the CECOM LCMC, Fort Monmouth, Interactive Business Opportunities Page at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil on or about 14 November 2008.
