Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking qualified sources that can provide (1) left hand (Port) and (1) right hand (Starboard) Z-Drives for the Model 1350H, Marine Thruster Assemblies used in support of the 175’ WLM Class Vessel’s. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room - Bldg. 88, located at 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. A fixed priced commercial contract is anticipated. It is the Government’s belief that only Rolls Royce, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or their authorized distributors possess the required capabilities to manufacture the Model 1350H, Marine Thruster Assemblies (Z-Drives) used in support of the 175’ WLM Class Vessel’s. All reproduction manufacturing drawings, specifications and other technical data pertaining to the Z-Drives are not available within the government and are proprietary to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Rolls Royce. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 7 days from date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics or 2) Data that offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original equipment manufacturer. No cost or pricing is required. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Sources that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability of meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
