- Description
- SYNOPSIS: The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for onsite armed and unarmed security and patrol services at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon. As an integral component for the security effort, the contractor shall provide and maintain all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports and files necessary to accomplish security guard services at the above mention location. This requirement is being solicited as a 100% SDVOSB set aside commercial Items acquisition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR) Part 13. Award will be made using best value source selection procedures incorporate tradeoffs between price related and non-price related factors. It is the government's intention that any resulting award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The contract will consist of one ten (10) months base year and two, twelve (12) month optional ordering periods. The anticipated start date for the requirement is December 1st 2008. The North American Industrial Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561612. The Request for Proposal (RFP) shall require submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal. It is anticipated that the solicitation, RFP VA-260-09-RP-0053 will be released to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about October 23, 2008. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov. Further, offerors are required to go online to the Business Partner Network at http://orca.bpn.gov to complete their online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to submittal of a proposal. The solicitation and any additional information and documents on the requirement will be posted to FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov) and will be available for downloading from the FedBizOps website at http://www.fbo.goc. Any potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOps site for updates and documents.
