- Description
- The NETCOM/9th Signal Command (Army) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for the Army Research Office, Triangle Research Park, Durham, North Carolina. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of North Carolina, shall provide local commercial communications service for ARO, which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, CENTRIX, local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunks, transport channels, and directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 517110. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 24 October 2008 The solicitation can be viewed and downloaded from the Army Single Face to Industry(ASFI) Acquisition Business Website. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 6 Nov 08 at 09:00, at 4300 South Miami Boulevard, Durham, NC It is recommended that prospective offerors attend this conference. The conference will be from 09:00 11:00 PM (approximately). Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the Contracting Officer listed below, in writing, of all attendees names (not to exceed three per company, prior to 4 Nov 08. An e-mail response to duane.markham@us.army.mil is acceptable. Questions prior to the conference must be received before 4 Nov 08. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be sent to duane.markham@us.army.mil, by 17 Nov 08. Directions and security requirements will be sent to only those individuals who have confirmed their attendance with the Contracting Officer.
