- This is a Request for Information (RFI/Sources Sought Notice) announcement only. There is no solicitation at this time. As part of its market research, the 48th Contracting Squadron is seeking sources interested in providing Furniture / Household moving services through the Direct Procurement Method starting 1 Jan 2010 at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell. This service is to include household moves within and around the counties of East Anglia, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex within the United Kingdom. The service shall include the packing and shipment of household goods both within the United Kingdom, as well as shipping equipment to International ports of embarkation. The Contractor shall provide all personnel and services necessary to perform the following duties: packing, shipping, and storage of equipment, operation of an appropriate office to schedule these types of moves. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code attached to this requirement is 488991, Packing and Crating. The contract is expected to be a firm-fixed price contract for one (1) base year period and four (4) one year option periods. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief statement of current capability and letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: 1) Company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, type of business and size; 2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contacts (not to exceed three) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; and 3) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this service. Limit responses to ten (10) pages. Any information provided is voluntary. All interested parties are requested to submit intent of interest to the point of contact listed below no later than 24 Nov 2008.
