- The VA Connecticut Healthcare System has a requirement to negotiate with Intuitive Surgical regarding a PM services and related services contract for their Da Vinchi Surical Robtic Arm System via sole procedures in accordeance with FAR 6.302-1. This Da Vinci system in only manuafctured by Intuitive and as such, is the only known company that can provide factory trained and licensed service care professionals required to provide serviec on this system. The system is so highly sophisticated in design that there would be a high medical risk of injury if the device is not maintained to exact OEM specifications. For the intent of tis notice, a solicitation package may be obtained by requesting it from the Contracting Officer - James Corbett via james.corbett2@med.va.gov. Any offers submitted shall be considered as informational by the CO. This procurement shall be made via what is in the governments best interest
