- This announcement is to provide notification that the Department ofVeterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to enter into a sole source requirements contract with Upper Peninsula Community Services, Inc. for Transportation Services for the VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Michigan. The performance period will be for one year from the date of award (with two one-year options exercised at the governments discretion). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the product. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five days from the date of publication of this announcement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the GLAC will proceed with the intended sole source contract. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquires will be accepted.
