- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of an estimated amount of 20 each pulse-forming networks, NSN 5915-01-555-0034, Westinghouse P/N 1D20472H02, per year. The FAA has awarded a contract to TDL, Inc., Canton, MA, the only known source. This is done in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. This requirement is in support of FAA Airport Surveillance Radars (ASR-9). Contract was awarded for a 1-year base period with the option to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The results of a market survey, conducted from April 29, 2008 through May 16, 2008, supported our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. Further a pre-award announcement was posted on the FAA's Contract Opportunities web site on June 16, 2008 expressing the FAA's intent to negotiate with TDL, Inc. on a single source basis.
