Description
The National Park Service is issuing an unrestricted solicitation to repair the diesel engine in the Liberty II, service vessel at the Statue of Liberty National Monument, New York. The solicitation, including wage rates, qualifications and specifications, will be posted to the websites,http://www.fedbizops.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about November 05, 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued directly from the contracting office. TELEPHONE, EMAIL OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED OR HONORED BY THE GOVERNMENT. The work includes the furnishing all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies and supervision necessary to remove the engine from the vessel, transport the engine to the contractor's shop, make repairs, return and reinstall the engine in the vessel complete and ready for use. The period of performance is to start work within 15 day after contract award and complete all work within 36 days after date of award. The NAICS code for this project is 811310 with a size standard of $7,000,000. This solicitation is being issued unrestricted. To gain a full understanding of the requirement, interested contractors are strongly couraged to attend the site visit to view the engine and the location where the engine is.A formal site visit for this solicitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM, local time at Ellis Island. Each contractor may send up to two (2) attendees to represent their company at the site visit. Interested contractors must provide the following individual personal information for all who are proposed to attend the site visit: full name, home address, date of birth, sex, race, height, weight, eye color, hair color, and social security number. The individual personal formation will be used by the Government to perform security related background investigations on all personnel proposed to attend the site visit. Subsequent individual approval or disapproval of proposed site visit attendees will be determined by the Government.
