- Description
- The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the acquisition of solid waste removal services at Everglades National Park in Homestead, Florida in compliance with all local and Federal laws. RFQ will include one base year, beginning December 01, 2008 through September 30, 2009, with four (4) one-year options, if exercised by the Government, for total contract duration not to exceed 5 years/60 months. Contractor shall be responsible to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies (including trash receptacles), services, permits, and licenses necessary to collect, load, haul, and dump refuse at approximately 18 locations within Everglades National Park, Homestead, FL. Offers shall include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes insurance, tipping fees, and required permits in the line item pricing. This RFQ will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in the Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Contractors will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No paper copies will be distributed. No other notifications will be sent. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. The applicable NAICS Code is 562111. The size standard is $12.5 million. This solicitation is unrestricted participation. Anticipated RFQ issue date is November 03, 2008. Anticipated response due date is November 18, 2008. Anticipated award date is December 01, 2008.
