- The National Geospatial–Intelligence Agency (NGA) is responsible for the acquisition and distribution of Commercial Remote Sensing (CRS) imagery, products, and services to the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DOD). The intent of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit information regarding existing commercial satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) capabilities that meet NGA’s commercial satellite data needs and to identify potential sources. This is an RFI only; NGA does not assert or imply that any Request for Proposals (RFP) or other acquisition actions will occur. The North American Industrial Classification System code for this RFI is 541360, Geophysical Surveying and Mapping Services. The Classification Code is 76 [7640], Maps atlases charts & globes. The Government invites all commercial satellite SAR data providers capable of delivering data specified herein to respond to this RFI with a white paper that addresses each of the needs described in the attached document. The Government will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to this RFI. Any information submitted is voluntary. All interested business concerns are requested to respond to this RFI announcement no later than October 31, 2008.
