- Description
- On call flight services fully contractor operated and maintained consisting of light turbine and/or reciprocating engine helicopters in support of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) wild horse/burro program requirements. Location of work will be predominantly in varying locations within the eleven western United States. Contractor will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations and Part 135, Air Taxi Operators & Commercial Operators. The Government expects to make multiple awards in order that an adequate number of sources will be in place to assume aircraft availability when needs arise. Contractor selection for specific projects will be in accomplished in accordance with the ordering procedures identified in the solicitation as project needs become known. Resultant contracts will be an on call contract to extend for a one year period beginning approximately 12/1/08 - 11/30/09 with options to renew for three additional years. No further notices will be issued concerning individual BLM wild horse/burro project requirements during the duration of performance identified in the solicitation. aLL BLM wild horse/burro flight service requirements, regardless of location are expected to be fulfilled through the awards expected as a result of this RFP. It is a requirement that the successful awardee(s) be registered and current in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Projected solicitation issue date is 10/20/2008. The solicitation is available at the fbo site and can also be located at http://amd.nbc.gov/ under Business Opportunities. The solicitation is set aside for small business concerns.
