Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for supplies in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Marine Engineering Division located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire the following: qty of 1 each YANMAR Diesel Engine Model#6LYA-STP with Bobtail and console/control Panel including installation of motor and testing for NOAA Ship Work Boat HI-1 which is in port in Honolulu, Hawaii. The YANMAR diesel engine Model#6LYA-STP, transmission and jet drive are specific to the NOAA Ship HI'IALAKAI Work Boat HI-1. In order to utilize the existing transmission and jet drive, an identical engine is required to complete repairs. The YANMAR diesel engine Model#6LYA-STP is an identical match to an existing engine and this requirement will replaced the existing engine that failed. See Numbered Note 1, 100% set-aside to small business concerns. All interested concerns must submit a quotation within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order will be issued, FOB destination to NOAA Ship HI'IALAKAI LOCATED IN Honolulu, HI, no later than December 1, 2008. All responses must be in writing and delivery to fax number (206)527-7513 attention to Maria Mendoza or by email at maria.l.mendoza@noaa.gov on indicated response date in the RFQ.
