Description
The intent of the project is to repair and clean the exterior masonry in the lightcourt of the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse at 231 W. Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI. Exterior limestone restoration including cleaning of all surfaces, full panel replacements, partial panel replacements, crack repairs, patching, and re-pointing of mortar joints. Work effort shall also include the removal and replacement of all existing joint sealant around all windows, doors, grilles, and all horizontal and vertical joints are perimeter stone coping. The duration of the contract is 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Work parameters/restrictions: The contractor working hours shall be generally established to occur during government occupied hours. Work resulting in noise disturbance to the interior building occupants where noise produced is in excess of 40 decibels and/or work resulting in excessive smells found to be dissatisfactory by the Government shall be completed outside of government occupied hours. Work accomplished during government unoccupied hours shall be performed at no additional cost to the government. The estimated price of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and open to all business concerns. 238140 with a size standard of $14 million. This is negotiated, best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for October 20, 2008 at 11:00AM. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation from FedBizOpps and for monitoring the same system for amendments and/or additional information. Small business concerns, including HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
