- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed-price contract for generator rewinds at the J. F. Carr Powerplant located approximately 15 miles west of Redding, California in Shasta County. The principal components of the work to be performed include: A.Remove and dispose of existing armature windings and stator cores for two generators.B.Furnish and factory-test new armature windings and stator cores for two generators.C.Install and field test new armature windings and stator cores for two generators.D.Remove, refurbish, reinstall and test field windings for two generators.E.Furnish spare parts for generator armature windings, stator cores and field windings. The contract duration is contemplated for 822 calendar days. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333611 and the related small business size standard in number of employees is 1,000. The estimated Construction Cost Range of this project is more than $10,000,000. This is an unrestricted solicitation and all offers from responsible concerns will be considered. FAR Clause 52.219-4 "Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns" applies. Solicitation 09SP200001 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about October 28, 2008. The estimated date for receipt of proposals is November 28, 2008. This requirement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the posted site. No paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed with the exception of the drawings. You must be on the Bidder's Mailing List to receive the drawings. Click on the solicitation number and then select the "Vendor Interest" tab taking the following steps: 1) click on the Vendor Interest Tab; 2) enter DUNS number; and 3) enter Password or Tax Identification Number. Central Contract Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications, as required by FAR 4.1102, apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award.
