- In accordance with the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0009 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) for a study which will identify areas of synergy between the USAF Global Hawk and the USN BAMs programs in approaching issues of integration of UAS operations in both national and international airspace as well as in development of collision avoidance defense in depth material and non-material solutions. NGCS is the prime contractor for the design, development and manufacture of the Global Hawk Unmanned Air Vehicle System, and is currently performing the operations, maintenance and support functions for GHMD. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). GENERAL INFORMATION: NGSC is the only known source available with the requisite equipment, personnel and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government’s requirement within the required timeline. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, to make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a delivery order for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. See Numbered Note 22.
