- NAVSEA Indian Head Division has a requirement for the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) for the development and engineering of a future radiographic system (FRS). This requirement is being procured full and open with a ten percent (10%) HubZone price evaluation preference. Approximate release date of this solicitation is 13 November 2008. The anticipated requirement is seeking to modify a pre-existing commercially available (Modified Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (MCOTS)) portable radiographic system to safely perform diagnostics on unknown devices of interest in war, peacetime, and in Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW). Award will be based on best value utilizing a tradeoff process. The FSC code is AC64, the NAICS code is 541712, and the size standard is 1,000 employees. This solicitation replaces the solicitation synopsized under N00174-08-R-0030. Solicitation N00174-08-R-0030 is hereby cancelled. This solicitation (N00174-09-R-0004) will be seeking the development of a FRS. The production, operation and support will be procured under separate contract. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.
