Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M3LR8122AL02 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-27. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 812332 and the small business size standard is $14 million. (v) This requirement consists of One Line Item: 0001 : COVERALLS. PROVIDE FIVE (5) COVERALLS PER INDIVIDUAL (75 PERSONNEL), COMBINATION 3 SHORT SLEEVE, 2 LONG SLEEVE WITH NAME TAGS. COLOR STYLE: TWILL NAVY BLUE, 65/35. NEW PERSONNEL WILL BE ISSUED 5 COVERALLS AT CURRENT CONTRACT PRICE. OUT GOING PERSONNEL WILL RETURN COVERALLS TO VENDOR BEFORE THEY LEAVE. MINIMUM MATERIAL THICKNESS MUST BE 7.25 OUNCES PER SQUARE YARD. COVERALLS WILL BE PICKED UP ONE DAY OUT OF EACH WEEK (AS DESIGNATED) FOR CLEANING AND RETURNED WITHIN 7 CALENDAR DAYS CLEANED. COVERALLS TO BE REPAIRED BY VENDOR UNDER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AS REQUIRED. COVERALLS LOST OR DESTROYED DUE TO NEGLIGENCE WILL BE REPLACED AT COST BY THE RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUAL. (vi) Description: The purpose of this purchase is to provide the 43 rd LRS coveralls for 75 people. (vii) Period of Performance: 20 October 2008 through 19 October 2009. Place of Performance: Pope AFB, NC 28308. FOB Destination. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Evaluation procedures outlined in FAR Part 12 shall apply to the acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Lowest price technically acceptable. The contractor certifies that it can meet period of performance by submitting a quotation. (x) The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The contractor shall be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application - ORCA - at http://orca.bpn.gov/. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
