- This solicitation is to result in an Indefinite Quantity Contract with a base period of one year with provisions for 4 one-year option periods covering NSN 6135-01-339-8064, Battery, Thermal, Eaglepicher Technologies P/N EAP-12035. DLAD clause 52.217-9003 Restrictions of Alternate Offers for Source Controlled Items applies. The estimated annual quantity is 1719 EA. The guaranteed minimum is 430 EA which is applicable only to the base year. FOB Destination Inspection Acceptance Origin. Solicitation will be issued Unrestricted on an Other Than Full and Open Competitive basis. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DIBBS website https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. The expected issue date is November 14, 2008. The final contract award decision may be based on a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
