Description
The Social Security Administration has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference to be held in one the following locations: o Long Beach, CA or Orange County, CA or o Phoenix, AZ The following dates: o December 9, 2008, through December 12, 2008 Sleeping rooms are not part of this acquisition, as attendees are responsible for making their own reservations for sleeping rooms. However, the facility must be able to accommodate 175 sleeping rooms for three nights of the conference at the prevailing Federal Government lodging rate of $128.00 per night (Long Beach, CA or Orange County, CA) or $122.00 in (Phoenix, AZ). The facility must be able to provide meeting room/ballroom space (minimum 3,400 sq ft) to accommodate 175 participants for plenary sessions, five soundproof breakout session rooms (each minimum 740 sq ft), and audiovisual equipment to include LCD projectors, screens, electrical cords, carts, microphone and podium, mixers, flipcharts, flipchart paper and markers. The facility must also provide full catering services for morning and afternoon breaks, one evening reception, and two mandatory lunches. The facility must be in compliance with the basic safety and ADA requirements recorded in the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS, sections 4-9) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Information regarding this registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/. Offerors will be required to complete either a paper copy of the Representations and Certifications or may complete them online at http://orca.bpn.gov) in responding to this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items. This is a non set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 721110. The solicitation SSA-09-RFQ09-LDSHP09 will be available for downloading on or about, late October 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
