- Description
- The U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Corporate Data Center Operations (CDCO) intends to award a contract for quarterly corrective and preventative maintenance performed on the UPS Systems, Lead Acid Batteries, and the Battery Management System. The contractor shall be responsible for all corrective and preventive maintenance, parts, and provide an eight-hour response time from time call is placed until Field Service Engineers arrival on-site. The contractor shall have a local representative (local means within a fifty miles of site); factory trained to work on parallel series 9315-750 modules and factory authorized maintenance software. The representative must also have at least 3 years of proven field experience working on 9315-750 UPS modules in the parrellel redundant configuration. All maintenance shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturers equipment technical manual recommended service. The battery maintenance shall be done in accordance with IEEE standard 450, IEEE Recommended Practice for Maintenance, Testing, and Replacement of Large Lead Storage Batteries for Generating Stations and Substations and Yuasa-Exide, Inc. (YEI) product warranty/maintenance instructions (Section 58.06) and NFC 111. The Battery Management System maintenance shall be in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. All maintenance work shall be performed on dates/times coordinated with and determined by CDCO Operations Division (39) staff. Typically, such maintenance activities may only be performed on Sunday mornings between the hours of midnight and noon. The contractor shall maintain a current copy of the Powerware interconnection wiring diagrams specific to the AAC UPS on site. The contractor shall provide detailed maintenance reports and records of all measurements to be delivered to the VA within 15 days of each corrective or preventative maintenance activity performed.Exact specifications will be provided in the solicitation. Contractor shall provide maintenance services as described in this solicitation for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Corporate Data Center Operations located at 1615 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78772.
