- The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to award a fixed price contract for Berthing Enhancements on the Training Ship the Golden Bear. This requirement is for the conversion of existing lounge and office space into berthing suites and the conversion of existing 2nd deck tank space into classroom & lounge space on the vessel. This proposed contract will be performed while the vessel is located at Vallejo, California, at the foot of 200 Maritime Academy Drive on or about beginning of January 2009. The solicitation DTMA4B09001 will be available by electronic posting on or about 10/14/08. This is an unrestricted requirement under the NAICS Code 336611and it will not be Set-Aside for Small Businesses.
