- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd., requires sidewalk repair or replacement. Under Project Number 693-09-101, the contractor will provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, testing and reports required for repairs to the sidewalks around the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. The project includes repair or replacement of existing damaged sidewalks and other work items as required and as directed by the project manager. Infection control procedures are of paramount concern. All work shall be performed as described in construction documents consisting of the project specifications and project drawings, and in accordance with all applicable codes and VA standards. Estimated construction cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Period of Performance will be sixty (60) calendar days. All work on this project must be accomplished between 7am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Work on this project may not commence until Spring 2009. Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) set aside. The firm must be small under relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and the firm must be registered and current in the following websites: http://www.ccr.gov, https://orca.bpn.gov and http://www.vetbiz.gov. Offerors must ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current and valid. The Contracting Officer is not responsible for correcting information. The NAICS code for this project is 238990 and the small business size standard is $14.0 Million. Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds, and Performance Bonds will be required. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held, date/time/location to be provided with the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about October 24, 2008. Bidders are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments. Requests for drawings must be in writing and addressed to Karen Whalen, Contracting Officer, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds.
