- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District Operations Division, intends to issue a contract for furnish and deliver beach sand to designated areas at Stockton Lake, Missouri. Any contract resulting will be firm-fixed price, with NAICS code #212321, small business size standard 500 employees, and 100% set aside for small business. TO OBTAIN INFORMATION: Inquiries should be submitted to: cynthia.a.clark@usace.army.mil or 816-389-3009. TO QUOTE: At a minimum, responsible sources shall provide the following by bids due date: - Company Name, Address, Telephone Number, Federal tax ID #, and Duns # - Dollar amounts bid for sand, including delivery, to below areas as shown in schedule: BID SCHEDULE: 0001STOCKTON BEACH (1st beach closest to Stockton) 600 ton 0002RUARK BLUFF BEACH (north of Greenfield) 600 ton 0003MASTERS BEACH (near Needmore) 200 ton 0004CEDAR RIDGE BEACH (near Bona) 300 ton 0005ORLEANS TRAIL BEACH (2nd beach closest to Stockton)500 ton BIDS DUE DATE: Responses to this solicitation are due by 4:00 pm CST on Friday October 17th, 2008 at the Stockton Lake Project Office, 16435 East Stockton Lake Drive, Stockton, MO 65785. Quotes may be submitted in person, via delivery service or U.S. Mail, via facsimile to 417-276-3510, or via email to cynthia.a.clark@usace.army.mil. SPECIFICATIONS: Beach sand shall consist of hard durable particles passing 3/8 inch sieve and free of clay balls and organic matter. Prices quoted shall include delivery to beach sites as indicated.
