- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for repair to Runway 17/35 and 8/26. Lighting, signage, runways and shoulder. The work includes site preparation and construction of new shoulders for Runway 17/35 and 8/26,site grading, demo of existing abandoned-in-place electrical fixtures, pulverization of existing asphalt shoulder, construction of aggregate base course, and construction of new asphalt concrete shoulders. The work will include application of a solid sterilent to the sub grade before paving, processing the remaining dirt areas with a dust palliative and incidental related work. In addition, the contractor shall replace runway edge lights, threshold lights at each end of the runway, replace distance remaining markers, replace taxiway runway directional signs, replace/relocate one wind cone, replace cable for runways, lighting circuits and conduit where required, replace regulators for lighting circuits and modify power source to and replace the Arizona Ave Fence ! obstruction lights. The Government will be soliciting proposal and a written solicitation (N62473-09-R-1201) on or about 23 October 2008. This procurement is set aside to 8(a) contractors. The NAICS code is 237310 and the FSC Code is Z124. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract as a result of proposal received from the solicitation. The solicitation and resulting contract will be awarded using Best Value procedures.
