- Description
- The US Army Contracting Command - CECOM Contracting Center intends to issue a five-year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Requirements contract to procure spare parts for the AN/ARS-6(V) Personnel Locator Set (PLS). Spare parts include the following NSNs: 5865-01-530-8464, Receiver Transmitter (RT) kit; 5895-01-236-8964, Control Display Unit; 5821-01-552-3937, RT with Communication Integrated Module Capability; 5820-01-561-9642, RT with Communication Integrated Module & Quickdraw Capability; 5985-01-562-1261, Antenna Set. This requirement is expected to result in a non-competitive award to Cubic Defense Systems, San Diego, CA under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Cubic has been the only responsible source who has demonstrated the necessary technical expertise and facilities to perform the required effort. Required delivery rate is 10 units 180 days after receipt of order and 10 units each month thereafter until completion. The unit of issue is each. Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code: 5821. The total estimated value over the life of this contract is $32M. Formal solicitation is expected to be released on or about 22 October 2008. See note 22.
