Description
In accordance with AMS policy, 3.2.2.3.12.1, this is a public announcement for an upcoming project at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), located in Longmont, Colorado. A Request for Offers (RFO) package including specifications and drawings will be posted to this website by October 10th, 2008. This project is 100% set-aside for competition amongst Small Business concerns under NAICS code 562910 SUMMARY OF WORK: The independent Environmental Monitoring Services Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform the following: Provide professional services to review and comment on the Abatement Contractor's Asbestos Abatement Plan; Develop air monitoring plans and provide sample analysis; Attend and participate in on-site meetings throughout the project; Provide site inspection of asbestos removal activities; and provide comprehensive reporting and documentation throughout the Demolition and Abatement Construction Project. ESTIMATED VALUE: $100,000 - $250,000 This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
