- This project work will consist of maintenance dredging of the Marine Corps Terminal, Blount Island, to a 38-foot required depth with a 2-foot allowable overdepth. The quantity of material to be dredged will be approximately 218,000 cubic yards. All dredged material shall be placed in the Dayson upland disposal area located across the St. Johns River Back Channel from the Marine Corps Terminal. Maximum pumping distance will be approximately 2.8 miles. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be issued on or about 21 October 2008 with bids due on or about 20 November 2008. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. You must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration in order to be eligible to receive an award from this solicitation. NOTE: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
