Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering services, "A/E to Construct New Space and Renovate space for Clinical Specific Initiatives (CSI)" at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541310, size standard $4.5 million. A/E Firm to provide all professional, technical and investigative services to develop 30% design drawings and cost estimates for the construction/renovation of new and renovated space for Clinical Specific Initiatives (CSI) at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. The CSI include clinical space for Polytrauma and OEF/OIF clinics and radiological space for SPECT CT. This project will perform the preliminary design work for the CSI at the Iowa City VA and will include but not be limited to all professional services, studies, site investigation, utility/mechanical assessments and structural evaluations needed as well as the development of approximately 30% design documents. A two story extension of approximately 6,000 GSF of new construction between the MRI addition and the west front projection with approximately 1800 GSF of remodeled space on both the first and second floors of the main hospital will be designed. The new extension shall be designed to structurally support an additional two stories. Estimated construction cost range is between $2.0 million to $5.0 million. Area of consideration: Firms must be within 125 miles radius, of the VAMC-Iowa City, IA.
