- FedBizOpps Special Notice The West Palm Beach Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate sole source procurement with, Diagnostic Equipment Service Corporation (D.E.SC.O), a Veteran Owned Small Business concern located at 124 Main Street STE 1 Norfolk, MA 02056-1417. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a maintenance contract for 8 Sterilizers Manufactured by Castle and 7 Scope Washers Manufactured by Steris Corp. The contract is for base year plus 2 option periods. This includes Corrective Maintenance (CM) Parts, Labor, and travel. The NAICS is 811219. The performance of the contract service agreement is to be conducted in accordance with the SOW and with the supervision of the Medical Center's Biomedical Department appointed staff. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A) and (B), only one responsible source. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than October 13, 2008, at 3:00PM local time. All information shall be furnished via e-mail or fax (see below) at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
