- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco, GA, is acquiring temporary housing or lodging accommodations for students who train at FLETC. The intent is to have multiple awards from an INDEFINITE-QUANTITY/INDEFINITE-DELIVERY (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed Price contract for a period of one (1) Base Year and four (4) one-year Options, not to exceed a total of 60 months. The solicitation will be available on or after November 1, 2008 and award is anticipated to be made 60 to 90 days after the closing date. Interested offerors are requested to review via the related solicitation that will be uploaded at this website and proposal date will be stated when the release of the solicitation occurs. Hotels/Motels/Apartments interested must be located within 25 miles radius of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco location site, using the Google Maps, MapQuest, or similar online utilities as a basis. Hotels must provide a safe and secure environment for any student lodging and must meet all other requirements for this award. FLETC expects to acquire this acquisition within the allowed Government Per Diem nightly accommodation services rate, not exceeding the current rate for this region, Glynn County. The Government intends to award a contract to multiple hotels/motels/apartments, who meet the criteria and all requirements found in Solicitation No. HSFLGL-09-R-0002, titled Off-Center Lodging, when released. This solcitation will be issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and will be awarded based on the resulting bidders from this RFP whose proposed package will be most advantageous to the Government, based on price and other evaluation factors considered. Responses will be evaluated on the basis of competition and Best Value in accordance to FAR 15. This is an UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. The Contracting Officer for this project is Susan Varga-Sinka. NOTE: Offerors must be registered at www.ccr.gov with a status of "ACTIVIE" in order to be eligible for award and must be in compliance with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (PL 101-391). Uploaded files will include the following: Solicitation No. HSFLGL-09-R-00002 will contain Section B for pricing, with Sections C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L and M; (2) any amendments that follow will be uploaded for information needed, (3) Proposals will be due on a defined date, as well as a Pre-Proposal Conference will be defined for those who are interested in attending. FLETC will not be responsbile for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this announcement. This solicitation will be distributed through the FBO ( www.fbo.gov ) website and hardcopies of the solicitation document when posted will not be provided(FBO website provides downloading instructions).
