- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Fort Carson, CO, intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the rental of vehicles, trailers and tractors reflected herein. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532490 and the size standard is $7.0M. This is an unrestricted acquisition and all vendors may submit quotations. This solicitation will close on 8 October 2008, 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time Zone. All requirements shall be delivered to Fort Carson, CO 80913 on Tuesday, 14 October 2008 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. at a specific location prescribed in a forthcoming purchase order. The delivered vehicles shall be clean, fully operational and contain maximum fuel. This combined snynopsis/soliciation is for vehicle rental only. Authorized government employees with CDL certifications will be the only personnel driving/operating the vehicles. The contractor shall pick-up the vehicles on 21 November 2008, at Fort Carson, CO between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Contractor shall propose the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS): UNIT TOTAL PRICE/ PRICE EACH CLIN 0001. Quantity: six (6) each. T-300 type refrigerated truck with a 40 degree or less fahrenheit temperature capability; 22-26 foot length. The unit and total price shall include unlimited mileage. $______ $_____ CLIN 0002 Quantity: two (2) each. T-800 type model day cab. The unit and total price shall include unlimited mileage. $_____ $_____ CLIN 0003. Quantity: two (2) each. Refrigerated trailer, 53 foot length with 40 degree fahrenheit or below temperature capability. The unit and total price shall include unlimited mileage. $_____ $_____ CLIN 0004. Quantity: two (2) each. Refrigerated truck, 53 foot length, with 32 degree fahrenheit or below temperature capability. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose technically acceptable offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: price and delivery date. The Government intends to evaluate offers and make award without discussions; however, this does not preclude the Government from having discussions if it is in the best interest of the Government to do so. To be eligible for an award, contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. A contractor can contact the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423 or e-mail at http://www.ccr.gov. NO EXCEPTIONS. A DUNS (Dun and Bradstreet) number is required in order to register. All invoices shall be submitted through Wide Area Work Flow. You can register at https://wawf.ef.mil/index.html. All written responses shall be received not later than 1:00 P.M. Mountain Time Zone, 8 October 2008. An official authorized to bind your company shall sign the quotation.
