- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Beckman Coulter for a maintenance and service agreement on the laboratory automation line which is linked to two (2) Beckman Coulter LXI and one (1) Beckman Coulter DXI. This maintenance agreement covers preventive maintenance, labor, parts and travel expenses. Service Agreement - includes priority scheduling of requests for service, unlimited emergency service, unlimited parts, preventive maintenance, factory authorized product updates and modifications, sound budgeting, factory-trained and authorized service engineers, extensive parts inventory, technical and applications support. Software for the lab equipment is proprietary with licensing owned by Beckman Coulter. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Vendors who wish to identify their interest and ability to provide an alternate service plan that will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer, in writing, no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 7, 2008. Such notification must include a complete description of the service agreement that is required including narrative and qualifications as described above. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations.
