Description
The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, supervision, transportation for pickup and dispose of lead acid batteries from MCBH Hazardous Waste Accumulation Center. The contract shall be for a one-year base period of on or about 9 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with four Option Periods. The contractor is required to comply with Marine Corps Directives and all federal, state, and local Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules, regulations, and laws as they pertain to the proper handling and recycling of used lead batteries that may contain oils, greases, paints, solvents, and other hazardous constituents. A single award will result from the solicitation. This requirement is reserved for small businesses. Quantities are estimates and not guaranteed. Quoter must pick-up the used lead acid batteries onsite about seven (7) times per year. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is M0031! 8-09-T-0147. This NAICS and the small business size standard for this procurement is 562211 and 12.5 million respectively. The anticipated contract will be a firm fixed-price contact. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and past performance considered.
