- Industry Day Announcement for the Spinal Immobilization device, 24 Oct 2008, Bldg 3650, Scott AFB, IL. The objective of the event is to provide a forum for industry to present the next generation solution for Spinal Immobilization during aeromedical evacuation (AE) that can be rapidly fielded. The Spinal Immobilization device is to be compatible with an over-sized patient litter and light weight enough for AE crew transport of a spinal injury patient during wartime or peacetime operations worldwide. The focus of the Industry Day will be available technology to support the AE system's operational capabilities. Each vendor should have a prototype spinal immobilization device that will be used for display and demonstration purposes. Exhibit/display setup will take place from 0800-0930 on 24 Oct 2008, with a demonstration immediately following.
