- The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of producing the 20MM Electric Primer M52A3B1 and primer mix using various lots of Calcium Silicide for use in testing. Due to the customers demand for timely deliveries, complete fabrication of primers shall be delivered 60-90 days after award. A respondent to this market survey must have available the facilities and skills required to manufacture these primers that meet all government specification requirements. Sources are being solicited from the National Industrial Technology Base (NTIB). Interested U.S./Canadian firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing 20MM Electric Primer M52A3B1 and primer mix are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief description of summary of their companys capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel, and past manufacturing experience as it relates to the above criteria. Information must be submitted to HQ, ASC, ATTN: AMSAS-ACA-F/Sandy Connors, 1 Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000. Please respond NO LATER THAN 13 OCTOBER 2008 and identify 20MM Electric Primers Medium Caliber Sources Sought/Market Research as the subject of your response. This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will be utilized by JMC in developing its acquisition approach for future 20MM primer requirements.
