- CFTC intends to award a sole source contract to Promontory Financial Group, LLC; 280 Park Avenue, 40 th Floor West; New York, NY 10017. The anticipated award date is in October, 2008. The contractor will provide expert advice to CFTC senior management to ensure that the organization has an effective, efficient approach to structuring the CFTC market surveillance program - from both a programmatic and operational perspective. Promontory Financial Group, LLC has unique and critical in-depth knowledge of commodity futures and options trading practices and markets, which are required to successfully complete the project. The Promontory Financial Group, LLC can provide the CFTC with highly regarded experts that have a breadth of experience in working with and for Federal financial regulators and related private sector entities. These experts have a demonstrated in-depth understand of the possible future effects of differing surveillance approaches that can be adapted into organizations in a manner that leads to fast, concise results. This notice is not a request for offers and no solicitation is available. Interested parties may respond in writing within 1 week of the date this notice is posted. However, such responses will be used solely to determine whether a competitive solicitation should be issued and will not be the basis for an award. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
