- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Navy Unmanned Combat Air System Program Office (PMA-268) intends to issue a modification to contract N00019-07-C-0055 with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), Integrated Systems Sector, 17066 Goldentop Road, San Diego, CA to modify the X-47B design to incorporate a dedicated navigation system processor. It is anticipated that this modification will be issued on a cost-plus-incentive-fee basis. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NGSC is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the airframe being produced under contract N00019-07-C-0055 and as such only NGSC has the requisite knowledge, technical expertise and experience to perform the efforts within the required timeframe. This notice is not a request for proposal. Note 22 applies. Inquiries can be made to the primary point of contact as outlined in this notice.
