- Note: An attachment including the details of industry day will be available on 12 Jun 06. The 554 Electronic Systems Wing is pleased to announce an Industry Day Conference for the follow-on Global Combat Support System-Air Force (GCSS-AF) contract on 19 Jun 06 at Hanscom AFB MA. GCSS-AF is an Electronic Systems Center initiative to meet total systems integration and operations for Operations Support net-centric infrastructure, although over time that infrastructure will blend or merge with C2ISR infrastructure. The GCSS-AF infrastructure will also support some Joint or other military service operations and over time enterprise services may be eliminated or merged or adopted from other military services or the DoD. Target focus is the continued operations of GCSS-AF infrastructure on the NIPRNET and SIPRNET, evolution of GCSS-AF's Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and continued high velocity delivery of infrastructure, data services, and fused, cross-functional war-fighter capabilities. Work will be accomplished as required at Hanscom AFB, MA; contractor facilities; DoD locations and facilities throughout the Continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii and various facilities overseas. Temporary and extended overseas travel (more than thirty days) may be required.
