- The Mission and Installation Contracting Center-McPherson intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Applera Corporation, during business as Applied Biosystems Group is the sole developer, distributor and provider of the AMPFLSTR IDENTIFILER DNA KITS. APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS HOLDS THE PATENT RIGHTS FOR THE AMPFLSTR IDENTIFILER DNA KITS AND THE SOLE COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTOR OF THE PRODUCTS. THERE IS NO OTHER PROVIDER FOR THESE PRODUCTS. THESE REAGENTS AND STANDARDS ARE PUCHASED AS DNA KITS, NEW DNA ANALYSIS REGENTS AND KITS CAN BE USED ONLY AFTER PERFORMING A NEW VALDATION., APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS VALIDATION MUST BE PERFORMED FOR ANALYSIS INSTRUMENTS, REAGENTS AND STANDARDS ACCORDING TO TWGDAM AND DAB STANDARDS. THE CURRENT VAILDTED INSTRUMENTS AND DNA KITS ARE PRODUCTS OF APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS INCORPORATED THIS PROCESS REQUIRES AN ADDITIONAL SIX 6 MONTHS OF TIME TO COMPLETE AND DOCUMENT. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is or will be available. Phone calls will not be accepted.
