- Bureau of Reclamation, Denver, Colorado intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract with Aerial Products/Southern Balloon Works, for an 8 foot helium ball with camera mount and communications system to perform low level digital photogrammetry along remote rivers. No other contractor to the best of our knowledge can provide this item. This procurement is authorized in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1). The proposed acquisition is for the item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with one responsible source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement via email to bhayden@do.usbr.gov no later than 10:00 a.m. MST on September 29, 2008. Telephone requests will not be honored. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. A determination by the government to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice will be based solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
