- Description
- The 5th Contracting Squadron (5 CONS), Minot AFB ND, will issue a solicitation on or about 4 November 2008 to acquire Military Family Housing Maintenance Services for approximately 1770 housing units at Minot AFB ND. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Requirements contact with an expected award date of 1 Apr 09 - subject to the availability of funds. This solicitation is restricted to (SBA) Certified 8(a) firms located in the state of North Dakota. Contract teaming is encouraged as prescribed under the SBA rules for Joint Ventures, Prime Contractor/Sub Contractor arrangements and the SBA or DoD Mentor-Protégé Procedures. In addition, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Go to the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/ for more information. The NAICS for this acquisition is 238990, with a size standard of $13.0M. The Service Contract Act (SCA) wages will apply. Typical delivery orders (DO) will consist of a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor alterations work on real property at the location listed above. This encompasses a variety of trades including, but not limited to: electrical repair, plumbing, minor carpentry, purchase of appliances, purchase of supplies and materials for repair, painting, minor roof repair, grounds maintenance, excavation, installation and removal of appliances and fixtures, and on-call service work. The performance period of this contract shall consist of a base year of six months and four follow-on years, for a total of four years six months. The contract magnitude is estimated at more than $10,000,000.00 over four years six months. There is no guarantee that options on the follow-on years will be exercised. The contract will include an opt-out clause for privatization. Contract award will be based on performance-price tradeoff (PPT) procedures.
