Description
I.INTRODUCTION. A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The combined synopsis and Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is: TARENG06208A. C. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, Effective 12 Jun 2008. D.The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 334513 corresponding to a size standard of 500 employees for small business qualification. E. Basis for award The US Army TACOM-LCMC intends to negotiate solely based on lowest price and technical acceptability. II.GENERAL. A. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement for the following to be delivered FOB Destination: Qty (2) Environmental Test Chambers with the following equipment and specifications: "Min interior dimensions 4W X 4D X 44inch H "Max exterior dimensions 6W X 8D X 10H "800CFM minimum airflow inside chamber "Cool down rate of 5 Deg F per minute Minimum over entire temp range "Heating rate of 8 Deg F per minute Minimum over entire temp range "Temp range of -90F to +300F Minimum "480VAC 3 phase power, less than 50 FLA "Live Load capacity at -40F is 2000W minimum "Interior non magnetic stainless steel "Explosion proof configuration "Drain in floor of chamber "Lockable door "Energy saving shutdown/throttle back of compressors during non-use times "Over and under temperature safety controls "Water cooled condenser, water available: 12 GPM @ 85oF or 7 GPM @ 75oF there is a inch cooling line, and drain/return line "Humidity control from 10%-95% there is a 1/4 inch potable water supply for humidity "Ramping programmable controller. Allowing easy input and transfer of profiles from one chamber to another, as well as external memory. (IE on a laptop or memory stick to allow back/editing) "Controller must also allow steady state operation. "Access ports, qty 2 6 inch diameter. "Interior adjustable shelf "15 inchx15 inch non-frosting window minimum "Start up option B.Submittal Instructions. TACOM reserves the right to seek clarification on any aspect of your quotation. C.This acquisition is unrated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). D. Quotations must be received by TACOM no later than 12:00 PM-EST, 25SEP 2008.
