- PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT & MATERIAL OFFADD: AFFTC/PKT Directorate of Contracting, 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Edwards AFB, CA 93534 SUBJECT: Modular Furniture REF NO.: F1SEAS8256B001 DUE: 27 September 2008 POC: Mary Ann Canales, (661) 277-2097 phone DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Herman Miller Inc., 855 East Main Street, Zeeland, MI, 49464. The NAICS code is 337214. This requirement has been generated in response to the FY07 AFMC Center Standardization mandate. In an effort to comply with the new organizational structure mandated by AFMC's Center Standardization, AFFTC has designated areas within the building to house the organization in its entirety. Purchase of additional workstation furniture to match current standardized configuration is required to house personnel. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a proposal/quote in response to this request per section and in accordance with FAR Part 12. Please see Request for Quote/Proposal (attachment) to view the complete list of modular furniture items per section. Any proposals/quotes should follow the format of the RFQ/RFP with each section having a totaled sum. Please submit proposal/quote for each section with the appropriate grand total. Anticipated Award Date is 29 September 2008. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time, 27 September 2008 to: Directorate of Contracting, AFFTC/PKT (Attn: Mary Ann Canales) 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Building 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Fax: (661) 277-0470, or E-mail: maryann.canales@edwards.af.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 3 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
