- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 167886 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-27. The NAICS is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Delivery will be no earlier than February 2, 2009. USSS anticipates making multiple awards; vendors need not quote on all items. This Solicitation is compromised of: I. SPECIFICATIONS OF ITEMS II. FORMAT AND SUBMISSION OF QUOTE III. EVALUATION FACTORS IV. CONTRACT CLAUSES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I. SPECIFICATIONS OF ITEMS (A) Modular Microscope --Axio Scope.A1 or equivalent --Has five different microscope upper bodies, three different lower bodies and two Vario columns which can be selected for the respective requirements and combined into an optimally customized microscope system. --Permits sample sizes up to 380 mm high for numerous applications. (B) Multisample Bead Mill Cell Disrupter --Disrupts up to 192 samples of spores, microorganisms, plant and animal tissue or soil samples at a time. --Uses homogenization process. --Holds 45 standard microvials in a vial holder. --MiniBeadbeater-96 or equivalent (C) Laboratory Grade Water Purification System --Produce Type III, laboratory-grade pure water at a constant flow rate. --Fed directly with potable tap water and combine complementary purification technologies in a compact system design that is easy to operate, reliable, and allows total control over the water produced. -- RiOs-3 Reverse Osmosis System or equivalent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ II. FORMAT AND SUBMISSION OF QUOTE Offers shall include (i) unit price; (ii) contractor information; (iii) product literature. Part (i). Unit Price for each Item you are quoting on. Delivery address to be provided upon award, zip code 20223. Part (ii). Contractor Information Provide the nine-digit DUNS and the nine-digit TIN. DUNS is used to verify that the vendor is in CCR. The Taxpayer Identification Number is necessary for electronic payment. By submitting a proposal, the Offeror acknowledges the Government requirement to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract. Information about CCR may be found at www.ccr.gov. Part (iii). Product Literature Offeror shall include descriptive literature of items to be provided, or a product specification sheet, such as a PDF brochure or other document, so that USSS may determine that the product meets the specifications above. Submit Parts (i), (ii), and (iii) to Mishelle Miller via email to Mishelle.Miller@usss.dhs.gov or fax to 202-406-6801. Submitting via email is preferred. Your entire email must not be greater than 3 MB; if your quote is above that limit, please send multiple emails. Faxed Parts will be accepted. Please put Laboratory Equipment in the subject line. All quotes will receive a confirmation email; if you do not receive a confirmation then your quote has not been received. EVALUATION FACTORS The contract type for this procurement will be fixed price and award will be made on the basis of best value to the Government, price and other factors considered.
