- Description
- The Forest Service, Colville National Forest, is requesting proposals for replacement of the Ruby Creek Culvert. The culvert is round galvanized steel with load rating HS-25. All work subject to WA State HPA permit with performance period restricted to July 1, 2009 to September 30, 2009, 90 calendar days. Work includes clearing, stream diversion, grading, conserving and replacing aggregate surfacing on roadbed, placing riprap and conserved streambed material, removal of existing culvert and installing new culvert. Culvert materials shall be provided by the Contractor. Riprap and other aggregate materials will be provided by the Government from the Ruby Quarry, approximately 7 miles from the project site. Project location may be reached by traveling north from Newport, WA on state route 20, to the junction of the Ruby Creek Road, County Road 2489. Proceed on County Road 2489 for 8 miles to the project location. Estimated project value $100,000 to $250,000, NAICS 237110 with size $33.5 mil. A site visit is scheduled for October 23, 2008 at 10AM at the project site. Contact Bruce Bailey, project engineer for more information, 509-684-7220.
