Description
The Des Moines Iowa VA Medical Center, a division of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) plans to issue a Request for Proposal to obtain Acute Hemodialysis services requirements of the VA. The medical resources required are acute hemodialysis services to eligible beneficiaries. The contractor will provide qualified, experienced registered nurses and technicians to perform Acute Hemodialysis services to VA inpatients. Dialysis treatment will be performed at the patients bedside. Contractor will be responsible for providing, maintaining and cleaning all equipment. The contractor will be notified of the requirement through consultation request and must be able to respond within 24 hours after notification. The contractor will provide staff to perform this coverage seven days a week, 24 hours per day including holidays. NAICS code 621492 applies with a size standard of $34.5M. This solicitation will be an unrestricted acquisition. The contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract and is expected to include a one-year basic period, with a Government option to extend the term of the contract for (3) additional one-year periods. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-263-08-RP-0415. Solicitation will be issued o/a Oct 1, 2008, with an anticipated proposal due date of October 17, 2008. The Offeror is responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the website listed above, without further notification from the VA Contracting Officer.
