- U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), located in Arlington, VA, is seeking eligible sources capable of completing construction as descrived below:Provide as-needed construction inspection services for a new wastewater effluent treatment (filtration) building of approximately 1,300 square feet, pump installation and piping connections at Creston NFH near Kalispell, Montana. Inspector will be needed on-site to inspect critical items listed below. Hatchery personnel will inspect non-critical items in the absence of the Inspector. Dates of service - Approximately October, 2008 through March, 2009. The construction tasks requiring inspection include but are not limited to:1.Excavation, placement of fill, and compaction2.Cast in place concrete, including formwork and steel reinforcing3.Interior finish carpentry4.Insulation5.Metal roofing6.Windows, doors, and hardware7.Plumbing8.Heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems9.Electrical power, lighting, and control systems Excluded from the inspector's authorities and duties are:1.Preparation, evaluation, cost estimation, or approval of any changes in the contract requirements.2.Submittal review.3.Compliance testing, including soil compaction; concrete slump, air content, or compression strength; masonry prisms; HVAC testing and balancing; piping pressure; and building commissioning.4.Attendance at bi-weekly coordination meetings when not on-site for required inspections.
